Monsignor Clement A. Kruse Scholarship
Monsignor Clement A. Kruse was ordained a Roman Catholic priest on June 7, 1941, and was named Monsignor in 1982. He served parishes in Grainfield, Sharon Springs, Hoxie, Seguin, Damar, and many other parishes in the Diocese of Salina. He also served on the Diocesan Board of Consultants. He passed away March 6, 2006, at the age of 90. Those applying for the Monsignor Clement A. Kruse Scholarship must be attending an accredited college or university as an undergraduate and be an active registered member of a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Salina.
Applicant must be an active registered member of a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Salina. These scholarships are approximately $500.
Marymount Memorial Education Trust Scholarship
Marymount College was a four-year liberal arts college in Salina that opened in 1922 as a women’s college. It was operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Concordia, Kansas. Marymount became coeducational in 1968. Originally established as a scholarship for students attending Marymount College, it was expanded to include any accredited Catholic college upon the closing of Marymount College in 1989. Those applying for the Marymount Memorial Educational Trust Scholarship must be attending an accredited Catholic college as a full-time undergraduate student and an active registered member of a Catholic parish in the Diocese of Salina.

Susie Deges Memorial Scholarship
The Susie Deges Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of Susie Deges, a young woman whose life was tragically cut short on the eve of her high school graduation. Susie had held leadership positions for CYO at both local and diocesan levels. After Susie’s passing, the outpouring of support enabled the fund to be established.
To honor Susie’s life and help other young Catholics achieve their educational dreams, this scholarship is awarded to an undergraduate student at an accredited college or university, who is an active registered member of a parish in the Diocese of Salina and is also active within their parish CYO group.This scholarship is specifically for high school seniors in the diocese who are active in their local CYO (Catholic Youth Organization). This scholarship is $1,000.
